In addition to the database, Binley’s offers a range of marketing services, reference and planning tools and events.

NHiS, the health data and analytics expert, provides insightful reports and tools to support better decision-making and help the pharmaceutical industry better understand local health economies to improve patient outcomes. Its Commissioning Excellence directorate works with the NHS, charities and industry to analyse activity and support service redesign. Regional Commissioning Network events allow the pharmaceutical, NHS and technology sectors to meet and share ideas and best practice across the country.

Wellards built a unique training and information resource, largely for the 900 pharmaceutical and medical technology companies it worked with. Over 22,000 users have had access to a range of services and features such as news, online courses, webinars and events, as well as being the go-to place for regularly updated NHS information.

The brand story

Parent company Wilmington acquired Wellards in early 2016 and commissioned some research with customers from the three companies.

Customers said they appreciated the high-quality databases, reports, training and excellent customer service, but they wanted more.

Changes in the health sector over the past few years meant that customers now need more sophisticated products that tell them who in the NHS to deal with, what their priorities are on a local level and how best to interact and communicate with them in a meaningful way.

Wellards, Binley’s and NHiS offer elements of their customers’ needs, but together provide customers with a one-stop shop to support their priorities.
