Wilmington Healthcare brings together four established healthcare information companies.

We have decades of experience working with clients from across the healthcare community. Our focus is entirely on the needs of our customers.

Binley’s was established in 1992 and has built a well-justified reputation for its high quality NHS contacts database that enables the wider health sector to connect with NHS personnel. In addition to the database, Binley’s offers a range of marketing services, reference and planning tools and events.

The leading authority on the NHS and the wider health community, HSJ brings a wealth of knowledge and commentary on the NHS nationally and locally, access to extensive healthcare networks, and greater opportunities for our customers to connect with the NHS. Evolving breaking news into healthcare intelligence, HSJ provides easy access to the latest developments in UK healthcare through its editorial content, events and intelligence services.

Wellards built a unique training and information resource, largely for the 900 pharmaceutical and medical technology companies it worked with. Over 22,000 users have had access to a range of services and features such as news, online courses, webinars and events, as well as being the go-to place for regularly updated NHS information.

NHiS, the health data and analytics expert, provides insightful reports and tools to support better decision-making and help the pharmaceutical industry better understand local health economies to improve patient outcomes. Its Commissioning Excellence directorate works with the NHS, charities and industry to analyse activity and support service redesign. Regional Commissioning Network events allow the pharmaceutical, NHS and technology sectors to meet and share ideas and best practice across the country.

The brand story

Parent company Wilmington plc acquired these companies, most recently HSJ in early 2017, and commissioned some research with customers.

Customers said they appreciated the high-quality databases, reports, training and excellent customer service, but they wanted more.

Changes in the health sector over the past few years meant that customers now need more sophisticated products that tell them who in the NHS to deal with, what their priorities are on a local level and how best to interact and communicate with them in a meaningful way.

HSJ, Wellards, Binley’s and NHiS offer elements of their customers’ needs, but together provide customers with a one-stop shop to support their priorities.
