The East Midlands Diabetes Transformation and Sustainability Network held its inaugural meeting in April. The network aimed to support the commissioning of high quality, outcomes focused and value for money diabetes services that support your local STP delivery.
The network brought together like minded people from across healthcare, local authorities, the third sector and other relevant stakeholders who are involved in the commissioning and delivery of services to prevent, care for and support patients with diabetes. It provided a platform for active discussion and exchange of ideas to deliver diabetes prevention and management in a more integrated way.
The conference was chaired by Professor Ian Macdonald – Head of School of Life Sciences and Professor of Metabolic Physiology, University of Nottingham on Wednesday 26th April 2017, and focused on:
- Transforming Prevention of Diabetes
- Transforming Outcomes for People with T2D
