North East, Yorkshire and Humber Mental Health Commissioning Network

Further to the continued success of the regional Mental Health Commissioning Networks in 2016 we held a seventh North East, Yorkshire and Humber event. Due to feedback received this network will now alternate between regional venues, and so this meeting was held in Durham.

The conference was chaired by Mr John Lawlor – Chief Executive, Northumberland Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust on Tuesday 20th June 2017, which focussed on:

  • The art of the possible – transforming outcomes in adult ADHD
  • Depression – Recovery focus in the community to free up resources within secondary care
  • Schizophrenia – Transforming patient outcomes and reducing the bed crisis

The aim of the network was to bring together like minded people from primary and secondary care, and associated organisations involved in the commissioning and delivery of services to care for and support patients with mental health conditions. This provides a platform for active discussion and exchange of ideas to cope with the commissioning challenges encountered in mental health in a more integrated way.

Feedback from previous meetings:

“High quality presentations”, “Interesting presentations, discussions and networking opportunity”, “A very informative day”

Recommended for:

“Commissioning directors”, “Leads for mental health”, “Clinicians with management roles”, “CCG commissioning managers”
