Super-partnership Modality expands to cover 380,000 patients

Where are the Midlands practices scheduled to join Modality?

GP super-partnership Modality is about to achieve a coverage of 380,000 patients after taking over the running of eight GP practices that together serve 33,000 patients.

The new Modality practices are in Walsall, in the West Midlands, the GP journal Pulse has reported. Modality already runs five practices in the area.

The eight alternative provider medical services (APMS) contracted practices will be merged into four when the takeover completes in September and will operate from five branches.

All GP partners will become Modality partners and the organisation has said no staff redundancies are expected, despite the consolidation of practices.

Modality is reported to have predicted that the super-partnership will take on further practices this autumn, and that the move will increase the partnership’s patient population to more than 400,000.
