From Labour’s promise to increase spending on health services by an average 4.3 percent a year to the Conservatives’ pledge to introduce 50,000 more nurses, the NHS has grabbed the headlines during the General Election campaign. Indeed, a recent Ipsos MORI poll found that the NHS had overtaken Brexit as the top concern for voters.
