Welsh Government funds vascular surgery site

Will Welsh vascular surgery site improve services?

The Welsh Government has announced £2.3m funding for a hybrid theatre for vascular surgery at Glan Clwyd Hospital.

The funding will convert an existing theatre into a theatre capable of performing complex vascular surgery. It will support a new vascular network model centred at Glan Clwyd Hospital and retaining procedures at Ysbyty Gwynedd and Wrexham Maelor Hospital.

The theatre will be equipped with advanced medical imaging devices, allowing theatre and radiology staff to work together.
